A video clip, posted by Iraqis on Tuesday evening, on social media, showed an American helicopter flight over the American Embassy building in the Green Zone in Baghdad, along with protesters surrounding the embassy building, to condemn the American bombing of the popular crowd.
The video shows the aircraft launching thermal discs and warning lights over the embassy area in the Iraqi capital.
Other videos were circulated showing burning fires at the sites protesters were able to reach near the embassy gates.
Pictures published by international news agencies also showed American soldiers walking down one of the embassy buildings, while others inside were transporting documents.
It is noteworthy that a crowd comprising elements of the popular crowd stormed the embassy gates on Tuesday after American planes bombed five locations of the Iraqi Hizbullah Brigades affiliated with the crowd inside Iraqi and Syrian lands, killing about thirty of its members.
Washington said the shelling came in response to the bombing of a military base in Kirkuk a few days ago, which killed an American contractor and wounded others.
