A Saudi court issued a death sentence for a Yemeni who attacked and injured four Spanish actors during the theatrical performance in Riyadh last month.

The criminal court also sentenced another Yemeni to 12 years and six months in prison for the terrorist attack that took place during a theatrical performance in a park in Riyadh in the open air.

"The criminal court issues a preliminary ruling to kill the perpetrator of the terrorist attack on a performance squad in Riyadh," the Saudi news channel Al-Ikhbaria said.

And she continued, "The Criminal Court issues a preliminary ruling to imprison the second defendant in the case of the terrorist attack on a performance troupe in Riyadh, 12 years and six months."

The videotape of the attacker, whom the authorities said was 33 years old, was shown on the stage and attacking actors with a knife before security personnel intervened to arrest him.

Al-Ikhbaria TV reported this month that the Yemeni attacker had received orders from a leader of the terrorist organization "Al-Qaeda" in Yemen.

The investigation led the authorities to the other person, who was not clear if he was arrested.
