It is noted that the attacks are aimed at weakening the Shiite group and preventing possible future attacks against coalition forces.

The US military attacked three targets in Iraq and two in Syria.

According to Al Arabiya, five people were killed and another 14 were injured in shelling in Iraq.

In late October, the US Treasury announced that seven countries imposed sanctions against 25 individuals and organizations for their ties to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah Party.
