In Norrköping, the trend is the same as in Linköping. 59 percent of travel in Norrköping was made by car nine years ago. Last year, that figure was 60 percent.

The figures come from the travel experience survey conducted in Linköping and Norrköping. The survey shows, among other things, that half of all trips in Norrköping are shorter than five kilometers.

- Regarding the statistics, we usually follow up with the number of car journeys that take place on our bridges over Motala stream. Both trends regarding population and the number of car journeys across Motala stream indicate a slight increase but are being followed, says Magnus Sandberg, traffic planner at Norrköping Municipality.
