"The Northern Fleet Commission, together with law enforcement agencies, is conducting an audit on the death of a soldier on December 24 under the contract of one of the fleet’s military units deployed in the Murmansk Region as a result of a gunshot wound," the statement said.
As the agency emphasizes, according to preliminary data, the military was injured due to violation of safety requirements when handling weapons during firing.
In September, a military instructor was killed in an accident during a training session on tanks at one of the ranges of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
