“With the onset of the dark, militants of illegal armed groups attempted to attack the Russian Khmeimim air base with unmanned aerial vehicles,” he said.
According to him, two drones that were approaching the air base from the southeast direction were discovered and destroyed by Russian air defense systems.
“There are no injuries or material damage,” he added.
