Norway's Rasmus Windingstad scored his first World Cup victory over the parallel giant Alta Badia (Italy) on Monday, when all the Blues were eliminated before the quarter-finals.

Windingstad (26) beat the German Stefan Luitz in the final. The Austrian Roland Leitinger finished 3rd in this succession of duels on two giant lines drawn in parallel.

Three Frenchmen qualified for the final table but did not shine: Alexis Pinturault was eliminated in the round of 16, Mathieu Faivre and Thibaut Favrot in the round of 16.

Second Sunday of the "classic" giant, Cyprien Sarrazin failed to get out of qualifying on Monday.
