The secretariat of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, announced today, Sunday, that the young man who was attacked by a female tiger in the zoo in the district of "Al-Malaz", yesterday, Saturday, was the one who threw himself in the tiger barn, where he said that his motive behind this is his hobby of training predators.

The secretariat added in a clarifying statement today about the circumstances of the accident that the incident occurred at 1030 am, while the security guards were performing their work tasks covering the walls of the "Bengal Tiger" barn.

The statement added: "One of the visitors threw himself into the barn using a rope that he brought with him in advance, and he got down to him after he crossed the spectator barrier, so he was attacked by the female tiger."

And the statement continued, "The park administration notified the matter, and the team worked in the garden, by launching two narcotic shots at the tiger, and it was drugged and directed by the visitor, Mohamed Abdel Mohsen (24 years), a Sudanese national, after suffering wounds in different parts of his body."

According to the secretariat statement, the first aid was provided to the young man, and then he was transferred to King Saud Medical City for treatment, revealing that he claimed his motive behind this was his hobby of training predators.
