This was announced by the head of the organization of law enforcement in the residential sector of the Main Directorate for ensuring the protection of public order and coordination with executive authorities of the constituent entities of the country of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Stanislav Kolesnik.
“If you look at the statistics, the number of crimes committed against children by parents has increased over the past four years by 92%. Including a 50% increase in the number of murders, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Along with this, he added that statistics also indicate that during the same period the number of tortures of children increased by 48%.
As Kolesnik noted, for six months of 2019, 1,000 criminal cases were opened against parents for child abuse.
Earlier, the newspaper Izvestia reported that the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in Russia, Anna Kuznetsova, went into the case of torturing a boy in a family in Omsk.
In April - May 2019, as a punishment, the child was put on a knee angle on buckwheat. This happened when the boy did not arrive on time from school or from a walk.
