"We condemn the violence against police and journalists, similar to what happened today at the Rada’s building," the embassy said in a statement on Facebook.
It is also noted that the United States supports the right of citizens to peaceful protest.
Earlier, Ukrainian law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case after clashes near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as a result of which 17 policemen were injured.
On December 17, in Kiev near the Verkhovna Rada building, participants in a rally against the bill on the sale of land staged clashes with law enforcement officials.
