The "National Training Portal" team announced the implementation of 30 training programs, during the year 2020, to qualify citizens registered in the "portal" for jobs in targeted sectors, in three stages, the first of which begins in January, the second in April, and the third in the month September next year.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Higher Colleges of Technology had signed a memorandum of cooperation, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to rehabilitate 18,000 citizens over the next three years, and through the "National Training Portal" In the context of implementing the Emiratization Decision Package issued a while ago by the Council of Ministers.

The director of the Higher Colleges of Technology complex, Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, said that the cooperation between the Higher Colleges of Technology and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation reflects the importance of joint work to qualify citizens and citizens, through training programs that have been prepared and designed in accordance with the actual needs of jobs in the targeted sectors, and the skills that must Enrolled by these programs.

Al-Shamsi indicated that the month of January next year will witness the start of the implementation of the first phase of the "National Training Portal" programs, where the registrants will be enrolled in the "portal" with 10 training programs, the number of which will be in the second stage scheduled to be applied in April of next year to 15 programs Meanwhile, 15 more training programs will be added in the third phase, to be implemented in September of next year.

It is noteworthy that the National Training Portal provides, in the three phases, various training programs and specialized diplomas, and other skillful ones in line with job requirements in the areas of human resources, retail, sales, insurance, real estate, property management, information technology, financial and banking services, customer service and public relations, and airport services And support services, as well as technical programs in the areas of aircraft maintenance, electrical and mechanical engineering, and in the oil and gas field.

The Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex explained that, during the years 2021 and 2022, other training programs will be designed and implemented, in coordination with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and in accordance with the functional needs in the targeted sectors, and in the manner in which the goals of the «National Training Portal», which is to qualify 18 A citizen for jobs in these sectors.

For his part, the assistant undersecretary of the ministry for the development of national human resources, Ahmed Al Nasser, called on male and female citizens looking for job opportunities and those wishing to develop their skills, as well as those wishing to change their career paths, to register in the "National Training Portal", through the aetraining.ae website.

He explained that he will contact the registrants in the portal to verify registration data and information, and invite them to the testing centers in the Higher Colleges of Technology, according to their place of residence in the various emirates of the country, in order to determine their actual level and evaluate them through leveling tests, in preparation for their placement of various training programs.

He said that those enrolled in the training program are subject to field training with one of the companies, where it is subsequently evaluated in a final and coordination with this company or other companies operating in the targeted sectors, with the aim of searching for a job for the trainee.

He pointed out that the training program implementers, who obtain jobs, are monitored during the first six months, with the aim of ensuring the quality of the training that they received, and enhancing their skills in the event that this is required.

The training period in the training programs ranged between three and six months, according to which the trainee gets a certificate issued by the training centers accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
