The joy was great on Tuesday in the meeting point, where the morning started with some rock n roll:

- We get gymnastics, some coffee, and Marie reads the magazine for us. It means everything to us, says Elisabet Sturesson, visitor at the meeting point.

In late November, the administration's plans to reduce staffing at the popular meeting point to save money were revealed. But now they have changed.

- The message I received from the unit manager on Monday morning was that they found somewhere else where they can collect the deficit, says Magnus Uhr (S), chairman of the Södermöre municipal council to SVT.

He emphasizes that the discussion on staffing or opening hours of the meeting point has never been a political issue, but only discussed as one of several possible savings measures by the officials.

"This came out in the media before it was even finished and that's what is regrettable, that it has caused so much concern among the elderly," he says.
