It is interesting to look around the bazaars of Nubia in southern Egypt. It is the craft of "sand-painting on glass" where only talents and simple tools, such as a bottle and a handful of sand, are needed.

Al-Jazeera Net met with Mohamed Rizkallah, a student in the first grade of secondary, but helps his father in a tourist bazaar scattered in the village of West Suhail in Nubia, where he learned the craft of painting sand on glass from a young age.

Mohammed says that sand painting on glass is a craft that not everyone can learn, it requires the talent of painting, in addition to the length of mind.

The young artist points out that he is coloring the sand in natural colors by filling the spaces inside the bottle with a strainer and a metal hand, explaining that there are various forms adored by tourists such as camel, sun, desert and pyramids.

The price per bottle ranges between 80 and 100 pounds (about 16.5 dollars a dollar).
