President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday reiterated the country's solidarity with the aspirations of the Palestinian people for self-determination and its support for regional and international efforts to alleviate their suffering.

The UAE's position came during a message of solidarity sent by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Chairman of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Ambassador Sheikh Niang, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which falls on November 29. each year.

His Highness stressed the responsibility of the United Nations to end the suffering of the Palestinians and to push Israel to stop its unilateral actions and end its occupation.

His Highness urged the United Nations to shoulder its responsibilities in ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, and to push Israel to stop its unilateral illegal actions and end its occupation of the Palestinian territories.
