The promulgation of a law for the organization of new elections, without however possibility of candidacy for the ex-president, shows the horizon of a way out of crisis in Bolivia. The presidential election of October 20, tainted with irregularities, led to violent demonstrations leading to the departure of Evo Morales from power. The country must now reorganize itself.

In order to guarantee the holding of new elections in Bolivia, the new electoral authorities, which in turn will determine the date of the elections, review the list of electors, register those who have reached the age of majority, and ensure that this list has no errors.

The law for the organization of new elections, promulgated on November 24, provides step by step the entire electoral process of the year 2020. There is much to be done, and the authorities have until June 2020 maximum for the elections take place.

This weekend parliamentarians from all political parties have agreed to allow Bolivia out of the crisis in which the country has been plunged for a month. When the law was promulgated, the interim president called for the unification of the country. " The time has come to reconcile, to heal our wounds. We will do it with joy and courage, "she said.

Because it is now for the government to resolve the conflicts that cross the country. While government authorities and supporters of the former president have finally sat at the same table, blockages having been lifted a few hours, an agreement has not yet been found with citizens who ask the departure of Jeanine Añez, the acting president.
