As is the case every year, on 25 November, the date of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the UN is mobilizing to fight violence against women. Discover in an infographic the key figures that illustrate the situation in the world.

Violence against women, whether physical, psychological or sexual, affects the entire world. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November, the United Nations is launching, as last year , a global campaign of action. Entitled " Orangez the World ", this action will last 16 days and end on December 10, date of the International Human Rights Day . During this period, " many public events will be organized, during which buildings and emblematic monuments will be colored orange to raise awareness and remind the need for a future without violence, " details the organization.

In France, many movements have emerged to stop this violence. 137 feminicides have been identified since the beginning of 2019 by the associations. Faced with this phenomenon, the government has launched a Grenelle of Domestic Violence in order to make additional commitments. In 2018, thousands of people demonstrated in France to put pressure on the government. The appointment is maintained this year, a few days from the end of the Grenelle.
