At 21, a group from the Missing people organization from Karlskrona came to Färjestaden. The group talked with the police to organize the search. But already earlier in the evening, hundreds of volunteers had gathered in the sports hall to help.

Missing people say that only people over the age of 18 with credentials can come along. No dogs are allowed. Several people bring dogs with them.

The boy was last seen at 15 at the residence in Färjestaden. This is what the police wrote on their website.

- Right now we have gone into what we call a rescue operation where we use a law called the law on protection against accidents. The reason we do this is because we take the disappearance seriously, but also because we have the opportunity to use the resources we need, under that legislation, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesman for the police.

Do you suspect any crime behind the disappearance?

- Not at this time.

Examined the home

Police have already investigated the boy's home and so-called "hot spots" - places that the missing boy may have an interest in.

"Right now we have dog patrols in place and we have requested a helicopter and are gathering staff to be able to carry out a search operation," says Rickard Lundqvist.

How serious do you see this situation?

- Now it has been a little more than three hours and we have checked all the information we received from those who are close to the boy. The longer it goes, the more serious it is. The evening falls, it gets dark and the temperature can drop. So it is important that the boy can be found as soon as possible.

signalement

At the disappearance, the six-year-old was wearing a green camouflage patterned jacket, jeans a black cap by the Puma brand, gray mittens and rubber boots. According to police, the boy has a slightly colored complexion, short-cut black hair and is 126 centimeters long.

Anyone with information about the boy is said to turn to 112.

Volunteers who want to help in the search work are invited to gather at the sports hall, Järnvägsgatan / Stengatan.
