“The Consulate General is in contact with the state police and intends to obtain consular access to the victim,” the Consulate General said on Twitter.
It is noted that the victim is in a hospital in Goodyear in Arizona.
Earlier it became known that the US border guard on November 14 wounded a Russian from a firearm while allegedly trying to cross the border with Mexico.
Robert Daniels, a spokesman for the Border and Customs Control Service at the US Department of Homeland Security in Arizona, said that the condition of a Russian citizen is rated as satisfactory and not deteriorating.
