Next year's medical fees will be reduced overall and adjusted to November 14, 6:53

The Japan Medical Association is seeking to raise the “body” part of the doctor ’s labor costs over the next year's revision of medical fees.・ Coordination within the ruling party is expected to proceed.

The medical fee paid to the medical institution is composed of the “main body” part, which is equivalent to the doctor's labor costs and technical fees, and the “medicine price” part.

The Japan Medical Association has been urging the medical institution to raise a certain amount of allowance in order to advance the work style reform of doctors over this revision, and the increase has continued since FY2008. The focus will be whether the "main body" part is a positive revision this time.

On the other hand, the “drug price” portion is likely to be reduced because the transaction price in the market tends to be lower than the price set by the government.

Within the government and ruling party, there is a strong opinion that it is necessary to curb the expanding medical expenses, and the overall medical treatment fee that combines the “main body” and “medicine price” is expected to be adjusted in a downward direction.

The revision of the medical fee will be discussed at Chuo Medical Association = Central Social Insurance Medical Council, and the specific revision rate will be decided next month.
