“The partnership of the alliance with Ukraine is very serious. We stimulate defense reform in Ukraine. And when I invite the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the meetings of the NATO Military Committee, which I head, the theme is military reform, ”he said.

According to him, there is "nothing secret in NATO’s interaction with Ukraine."

At the same time, he noted that the issues of the supply of weapons and military equipment to Kiev, as well as the training of personnel of the Ukrainian army are being decided on a bilateral basis, and not within the framework of NATO.

Earlier in Ukraine, it was reported that they had turned to NATO with a request to move to a “new level of cooperation” and provide it with the status of a partner in an expanded opportunities partnership.
