Former French Guilhem Guirado captain, who ended his international career after the World Cup in Japan, will be unavailable for several months with his new club in Montpellier because of an injury, announced Tuesday the club héraultais .

The hooker, who has committed with the MHR for three years, will be operated in the coming days of a break in the biceps and will be absent for a period of five months.

Guirado (33 years old, 74 caps) was injured Saturday at the Mayol stadium before being replaced in the 58th minute by the young Yuri Delhommel, during the championship resumption match, three weeks after the elimination of the Blues in quarter World Cup final against Wales.

In addition to Guirado, Montpellier will not be able to count on the young hooker Vincent Giudicelli, while former South African international Bismarck Du Plessis, deprived of the beginning of the season because of a tear in the thigh, resumed training .

The Fijian winger Nagusa, 32, suffers from a rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament of the knee. The absence of the best Hérault trial marker is estimated at around ten weeks.

Montpellier will begin Sunday its 8th European Cup campaign during the field trip to the Irish province of Connacht.
