He wrote about this on his page on Twitter.
“We vigorously condemn the coup d'etat in Bolivia and express our solidarity with our brother, President Evo Morales ... We call for global mobilization for Evo's life and freedom,” he wrote.
Morales previously announced his resignation. Following him, the vice-president of Bolivia, Alvaro Garcia Liner, left his post.
Bolivian opposition leader Carlos Mesa called Morales’s decision "the end of tyranny."
