11 November 201921.15 The Court of Locri accepted the appeal presented by the candidate for mayor of Riace Maria Caterina Spanò, declaring the ineligibility of Antonio Trifoli, elected first citizen in the administrative elections of 27 May. The appeal claimed that Trifoli, as an employee of the Municipality, with duties of traffic warden with fixed-term contract, could not benefit from the expectation for political reasons. The sentence will be enforceable only after the three degrees of judgment. Until then Trifoli will remain mayor.Court: "Mayor Riace ineligible"
