The mother uprising grew after the murder of toddler mother Karolin Hakim earlier this year. Today, they gathered at Stortorget in Malmö to manifest the violence.
- I think it is very important that we who live in Malmö put their foot down now. So much more could have been done, says Sophie Johnsson.
Hundreds of people showed up, but the organizers behind the manifestation had hoped for more.
- We are over 5000 members of the group on Facebook, of course I would like every one of us to be here today. Clearly you wonder, what better things to do on a Sunday than being here? But every single one that matters here means a lot to me, says Sophie Johnsson.
