Suwayda uprising's first martyr, Jawad Al-Barouki, was killed last Wednesday. Activists rule out the success of the Syrian regime in dragging the Suwayda movement into the realm of violence.

The movement now has an identity that has achieved steadfastness and continuity for it. The Syrian regime has not lost its political oppression as some think, but rather that international and regional circumstances do not help it deal with the Su wayda uprising. As for the head of the “We Are Al-Watan” group, Khaled Khaled, he says the regime aims to fragment the movement from within.
