“Between October 15 and 17, a strategic command post exercise on managing the Armed Forces will be held. The objectives of the exercise are to check the level of preparedness of the military command and control bodies and to improve the skills of senior and operational personnel in organizing command and control of subordinate troops (forces), ”RIA Novosti reports the message of the Ministry of Defense.
About 12 thousand personnel, 213 Strategic Missile Forces launchers, up to 105 aircraft, of which five strategic missile carriers, up to 15 surface ships and five submarines, 310 units of military and special equipment, are involved in the exercise.
It is also reported that during the exercise, launches of cruise and ballistic missiles of various bases will be carried out.
Earlier it was reported that pilots of the mixed air force of the Eastern Military District on MiG-31 fighter-interceptors, Su-35S multi-functional and Su-34 bombers conducted exercises over the Sea of Japan.
