As noted on the president’s website, Leshchenko "has a Ph.D. in law."

Earlier, the Ukrainian government approved a bill on land reform. The document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

In early September, it was reported that land reform would provide for the possibility of foreigners acquiring agricultural land “provided that they register a legal entity in Ukraine and pay taxes here.”

As the leader of the Fatherland party, Yulia Tymoshenko, said the bill on the land market approved by the government will sell 72% of the state’s territory to foreigners.

In an interview with 360 TV channel, Ukrainian political analyst Mikhail Pogrebinsky commented on reform plans in Ukraine, including the likelihood of a moratorium on the sale of agricultural land being lifted.
