Sydsvenskan has previously revealed serious shortcomings in the housing association. The residents testify that the ventilation does not work, that the heat was previously switched off and that the association prevents the members from selling their apartments or renting them out in the alternative.

When SVT Nyheter visits the house, several residents show broken gates, washing machines that have been broken for several years and rats running across the yard. But people do not dare to interview.

The house can be forcibly managed

The tenant association is now discussing the possibility of joining in with Malmö city's environmental management and forcibly managing the house.

- The situation is not good, our members state that the administration is not managed. The landlord does not rectify deficiencies that tenants report incorrectly and no maintenance is done. A few weeks ago VA Syd flooded the water for a few hours due to unpaid bills, which is serious, says Josephine Stensson, lawyer at the Tenants Association.

Not everyone is unhappy

Sapko Sinani sits on the association's board, and it is his company that handles both the property management, the association's finances and accounting on Brf Thomson's way.

When SVT meets Sapko Sinani on Thomson's path, he does not want to participate in an interview, but rejects the criticism of how the association is run. He claims that the problems are because some tenants do not pay their rent.

SVT's team not only meets dissatisfied tenants but also residents who are satisfied.

- I like it, I can't complain. Sure we have had some problems with water and heat, but sometimes something goes wrong and then they fix it, says Natalia, who has lived on Thomson's road since 2009.

Do the residents pay the rent as they should?

- As far as we know, all residents pay their rent, says Josephine Stensson, lawyer at the Tenants Association.
