The Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at the Ras Al Khaimah Police, Brigadier Ahmed Al-Deaf Al Naqbi, revealed to Emirates Today that the Department is in the process of carrying out campaigns within the next week to seize vehicles driven by students who do not have a driving license and take legal action against violators.

Parents of students demanded the Traffic and Patrols Department to put cameras in front of public and private schools, and link them to the operating room to catch students who drive their parents' vehicles without obtaining a driver's license, pointing out that allowing some parents to go to school with their vehicles is an encouragement to violate the law. They pointed to the need to punish the offending student, and tighten the penalties on the owner of the vehicle, pointing out that the lack of attention of the parents of the consequences of their children driving their vehicles without a license, and review them in front of schools, may lead to serious traffic accidents.

They added that leniency towards unlicensed driving of children may encourage other students to take the same unlawful behavior.
