14 September 2019Andrea Tarabbia with "Madrigale senza suono" (Bollati Boringhieri) won the 57th edition of the Campiello Prize, awarded tonight in the Teatro la Fenice in Venice. The writer received 73 votes out of the 277 received from the Popular Jury of Three hundred Anonymous Readers.

Tarabbia had already arrived in 2016 in the five finalists of the Campiello with the previous novel, "The garden of the flies: life of Andrej Čikatilo".

In second place is Giulio Cavalli, with "Carnaio" (Fandango Libri), which received 60 votes and Paolo Colagrande with "La vita dispari" (Einaudi), 54 votes, in front of Laura Pariani with "Il gioco di Santa Oca" (The ship of Theseus), 52 votes. In the last place Francesco Pecoraro with "Lo stradone" (Ponte alle Grazie), with 38 votes.
