SOS was already alerted at 17.43 about a single accident on E4. There, a person had driven the car aside and ordered a tow truck. But then it narrowed again. Three cars and a truck are involved in a crash in the same place.
- We went and looked at the single accident for safety reasons and then it had crumbled again, says Lars Hammarström, internal commander at the Rescue Service in Medelpad.
Police, emergency services and six ambulances are currently on the scene. There is a total stop in the northbound lanes at least until 20 o'clock. In the southbound lanes there are long queues and "crawl speed". Police direct traffic.
- The accident happened in the middle of the bridge at Midlanda, near the exit to the airport, says Hammarström.

The injury situation of those involved is unclear.
