MP LREM Mounir Mahjoubi, a candidate for the mayor of Paris before joining Cédric Villani, said Sunday that he committed "fully with Benjamin Griveaux", the official candidate invested by the walkers.

"I will fully engage in the En Marche! Campaign in Paris with Benjamin Griveaux.When you are part of a family, at one point, you must take responsibility," says the former secretary of Digital State, in an interview with the Parisian.

Candidate for the LREM nomination at the municipal elections in Paris, Mounir Mahjoubi decided in early July to finally throw in the towel to win the candidacy of Cédric Villani.

Faced with him and Hugues Renson MP, Mr. Griveaux was unanimously chosen by the party's nomination committee. "A flawed procedure", however still considers Mr Villani, who refuses until now to support Mr. Griveaux and lets threaten the threat of a dissenting candidacy.

For Mr. Mahjoubi, "in the coming months, I do not imagine that we do not meet again: the meeting with Cédric (Villani), it is a necessity".

"Both of us have a special connection, and whatever his future choices may be, I have a lot of respect for him and I understand his struggles," added the MP for Paris.

About the beginning of campaign Benjamin Griveaux, pinned for having notably uttered low sentences to the place of his political friends, including Mr. Mahjoubi, the latter believes that "Benjamin will have to continue his exercise of truth".
