Sprinter Jimmy Vicaut dominated the 100m European Team Championships in 10 sec 35 with a strong headwind (-1.4m / s) on Saturday in Bydgoszcz (Poland).
Vicaut beat Italy's Lamont Marcell Jacobs (10.39) to earn 12 points for France. He will be the second runner of the 4x100 m tricolor, a race scheduled at 19:17 (final B) or 19:46 (final A).
"I started well, the goal was to win, a pity that there were not good conditions like yesterday (he ran in 10 sec 07 in the playoffs)," said Vicaut in mixed zone.
