The US Senate approved Kelly Kraft for the post of new permanent representative to the UN

As noted by TASS, her candidacy was supported by 56 senators, 34 senators opposed.

It is expected that in the near future, Kraft will take the oath and take office as the permanent representative of the United States to the world organization.

In early May, Trump sent Kraft for approval to the Senate.

The position of the US permanent representative became vacant in early October 2018 after Nikki Haley resigned.
