The Russian leader expressed the hope that the Trump initiative to assist Russia in fighting forest fires in Siberia will have a positive impact on further contacts between the parties.
“The Russian President appreciated this move by the US President as a guarantee that in the future it will be possible to restore full-format relations between the two countries,” the Russian presidential administration noted.
Earlier it was reported that Putin told Trump about the situation with forest fires in Siberia and said that, if necessary, he would take the help of the American side.
