Two foreign ministers of the two Koreas are in the final minutes of talks in Thailand this morning, ahead of tomorrow's decision to exclude Japan's whitelisting of Korea, which is expected to take place tomorrow. The ASEAN regional security forum, ARF, was held on the occasion of the meeting, but it is expected that there will be a three-party meeting between Korea, the United States and Japan tomorrow.

The ASEAN Regional Forum and ARF Talks will be held at the Centara Grand Hotel in Bangkok at 10:40 am today.

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa and Foreign Minister Konodaro who arrived in Bangkok yesterday in turn will meet for the first time after Japan's unilateral export control measures are implemented.

Kang said he would strongly convey his position to the Foreign Minister.

[Kang Kyung-hwa / Minister of Foreign Affairs: I firmly point out that the regulatory measures are unfair, and it is clear that these measures should be stopped ... We need to make it clear about Japan, as well as the various foreign ministers and the international community attending the ARF.]

However, he said that there is a willingness to resolve the conflict through negotiations, saying that the collapse of the bilateral relations should never come.

However, it is unclear whether the Abe government will make a dramatic breakthrough in the talks today, as it is likely that tomorrow's ministers will try to exclude Korea from the so-called "whitelist".

Following the bilateral talks between Korea and Japan, tomorrow will be a meeting of foreign ministers from the three countries.

Secretary of State Pompei O'Malley, who arrived in Bangkok early today, said he would encourage them to find a way forward as they ask the inter-Korean intervention plan.

The three-way meeting between Korea, the United States and Japan is expected to be the true turning point for this event, as it is certainly a step forward toward arbitration rather than the involvement that has already been said.
