The Iranian government on Wednesday revealed differences between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in Yemen following meetings of Iranian officials with an Emirati delegation visiting Tehran, while other letters were sent to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

"The UAE has a desire to communicate with the aim of preserving the security of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz," said Mahmoud Waizi, head of the president's office.

But he pointed out that Abu Dhabi is trying to differentiate from Riyadh and take a different position on Yemen.

On the visit of the UAE delegation and its purpose, he told reporters at the end of the cabinet meeting that the UAE is trying to reconsider its stance on Yemen and change its deployment there. The preacher spoke of a slight difference in views of Abu Dhabi with Riyadh on the Yemeni issue, according to Iranian media reported.

The visit of the UAE military delegation revealed a clear shift in the declared policy compass towards its neighbor on the other side of the Gulf, especially some hot topics such as the Yemeni file and the security of Gulf waters.

Fishing Discussions
However, the UAE, in its first formal comment on her delegation's visit, said the meeting "was limited to the agenda of the fishermen and the fishing equipment owned by them."

The source, who was quoted by the news agency as saying, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the meeting, stressing that "it is an update to the previous periodic meetings of the joint committee that was formed to discuss issues of fishermen crossing the maritime borders of the two countries and solving the issues of releasing violators Smuggling, which comes in the context of the UAE's keenness on the affairs of its citizens, including fishermen.

Ready for dialogue
Meanwhile, Iran's state news agency IRNA quoted Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif as saying that his country is ready for dialogue if Saudi Arabia is ready.

Tensions between Tehran and Riyadh, competing for hegemony in the Middle East, have escalated since the Islamic republic accused the Islamic Republic of carrying out attacks that damaged six oil tankers in the Gulf, a charge the former denies.

"If Saudi Arabia is ready for dialogue, we are always ready to dialogue with our neighbors," Zarif said. "We have never closed the door to dialogue with our neighbors and will never close it."

Will prevail
Iran's three messages to Arab neighbors to Manama - after Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates - where Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said today that the will of the people will prevail in Bahrain after the protests followed the execution of Shiite activists active at the weekend.

Manama accuses Tehran of fomenting what it calls the hardline movement, which the latter denies.
The execution of the activists was widely condemned by human rights organizations, and the Bahrain Human Rights Forum described the execution of the executions as horrific, and said they included both Ali al-Arab and Ahmad al-Mullahi.

Amnesty International condemned the executions of activists and said, "Once again, Bahrain strikes at the most basic human rights by putting an end to the life of the two mullahs and Arabs after a trial in which torture was a condemnation.
