Defeated by Lyon on Sunday (2-1), Arsenal continues to struggle against the French clubs: the Gunners were indeed held in check by another resident of Ligue 1, Angers (1-1), who was celebrating for the his centenary, in his lair of Raymond Kopa.

The Gunners have however symbolically won after a penalty shoot-out (4-3).

It must be said that Unai Emery, the coach of the Gunners, had decided to make a broad review of the workforce: at kickoff, the Spanish technician had lined up no less than seven players 20 years or less. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan started on the bench while Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil, diminished, had not made the trip.

It is therefore logical that the Londoners suffered in the first period, including the accelerations of Angevin Farid El Melali, who saw his beautiful rewarded by the opening score (13th).

But Arsenal, invigorated by the entries at play - at the break - 'old' Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Granite Xhaka, equalized through Reiss Nelson, after a big job of Matteo Guendouzi (50th).

Despite the entries of Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan, Arsenal has not found the flaw in the face of catchy Angevins.

And it was on penalties that this friendly match of prestige ended, in favor of the English.
