African mediator in Sudan, Mohamed El Hassan Labbat, has called on the African Union mediator in Sudan to "immediately stop the perpetrators" of killing demonstrators in white quickly and bring them to trial according to the law. President Omar al-Bashir, to 17 August.

The African mediator said in a press conference: "We do not accept any pretext to slow down the signing of the constitutional decree." He pointed out that "the legal committee composed of both parties is about to end its work on the constitutional document. If the document is implemented, .

He considered that «the completion of work to ratify the constitutional decree is very urgent».

The document on the political agreement between the transitional council and the forces of freedom and change was signed on July 17, which affirmed that no person holding a position in the transitional period can stand for election.

It was decided last Tuesday not to hold the scheduled meeting with the military council, because of the presence of the negotiating team of the protest movement in the city of Abyan, where demonstrators, including four school students, were shot dead last Monday.

Talks between the ruling military junta and "freedom and change" were supposed to resume yesterday to resolve issues related to the formation of a transitional civilian government.

For its part, the Sudanese Communist Party, yesterday, rejected the report published by the commission of inquiry formed to investigate the truth, on the "dismantling of the sit-in." "Despite the violence and the campaign of genocide against the rebels, the intifada will continue," he said, vowing to work "strongly against the trial of the symbols of the regime."

He also said that he is working to "prepare the country to hold a constitutional conference for all Sudanese, to discuss all the situation of the country," refusing to participate in the ongoing negotiations and any levels of transitional government.

He pointed out that he will continue to "fight for the objectives of the revolution," calling for "the dismantling of the security apparatus and the abolition of the security law, and the disbanding of all militias, including the forces of rapid support," he said.

On the other hand, the Sudanese judiciary announced yesterday, postponed the hearing of the trial of the isolated President, Omar al-Bashir, because of his psychological condition after the death of his mother, and security conditions in the country, while his lawyer explained that the trial will start August 17.

The defense of the isolated president submitted a request to the court to postpone the trial sessions from 15 August to 17 of the same month, which was approved by the court.

"He was the first to have his trial, but the authorities could not bring him to trial for security reasons, so the judge told us that the trial would start on August 17," his lawyer Hisham al-Jaali said.

• Delay the trial of the isolated president, Omar al-Bashir, to 17 August.

• The authorities were unable to transfer Bashir for security reasons.
