George Washington and Martha
The United States' first president, George Washington, was 27 years old when he met his wife, Martha Dondridge Curtis in 1758, and was a military commander of the armed groups in Virginia at the time, while Martha Cortis was newly widowed, according to Reuters.

George Washington offered Martha's hand and culminated in their marriage in January 1759, but their marriage at that time was seen as interest-based, especially since the wife was descended from a very wealthy family.

Lyndon Baines-Johnson Bliddy Bird Taylor - an assistant to a member of the US Congress from Texas - met his wife Byrd in Austin a few weeks after graduating from the University of Texas in 1934, together with breakfast on one occasion and then applying for her hand.

Former US president Ronald Reagan wrote in his memoirs that he first met Nancy Davis when she was asked to help her get a movie role after the inclusion of another actress of the same name on the black list of representatives suspected of communist leanings.
