The General Directorate of Sharjah Police has warned individuals against dealing with some text messages received from unknown persons on their own phones claiming that they are bank employees, under the pretext of updating their bank statements and carrying the numbers and logos of the banks they deal with, only after confirming the source of such messages through official banking channels.

Some anonymous people have sent text messages or e-mail asking people for information about their bank accounts and their debit card numbers, where this information is used to access their accounts and steal their money.
