"Of course I would be disappointed to see him go," says the Italian. "He's a great player, things between him and the club, I've never heard him say that he wanted to leave, and I do not know what he told the club. But, personally, of course I prefer to see him stay. "
Neymar, who does not hide his desires to return to Barcelona, keeps the football world in suspense during the summer transfer window, which ends on September 2 in France and Spain.
"If a player wants to leave, in the end he will always find a way to go," Verratti said. "When a player really wants to leave, the club has to let him go, depending on the (financial) conditions set by the club, of course, but do not hold back a player who wants to leave."
