Russian authorities on Friday put emergency intervention teams on high alert due to flooding in Amor province, Russian news agency Sputnik reported on Wednesday.

The emergency services office in the region said in a statement: "Teams of the army and emergency intervention groups in Amor, Khabarovsk and the autonomous Jewish areas have been put on high alert, and this decision has been made because the situation has deteriorated significantly in the light of Floods ».

The teams are composed of 400 soldiers, about 50 special military units and equipment. These teams monitor the situation closely and also monitor the water level. These groups are ready at any moment to provide assistance to the population.

On 17 July, the Irkutsk region was flooded by rain that flooded parts of roads and streets in different parts of the city.

According to the mayor's office, floodwaters have flooded some 120 houses and a private farm in Blagojevsk, due to heavy rains.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his dissatisfaction with the flood-clearing process in the southeastern Irkutsk region.
