US Ambassador Cho Yoon-jae said the United States hopes to join the Hormuz Strait Escort Coalition against foreign diplomats. The government is also considering various alternatives.

Hormuz Strait, which is the main base for transportation of crude oil all over the world, from oil tanker attacks, detainments and unmanned reconnaissance ships, is falling into a state of immediate crisis due to increasing conflict between the US and Iran.

The US Embassy has opened a briefing on the 19th, and the US Embassy has proposed a constitutional escort for the safety of the Hormuz Strait.

More than 100 diplomats attended the embassy in 60 countries.

Ambassador Cho Yoon-je explained that the US government's explanation was a general request and that the government is considering various possibilities in mind.

North Korea's ambassador to the United States has said he believes North Korea is continuing contacts for resuming negotiations and said the United States is waiting for answers from North Korea about specific times and places.
