On this topic, the head of the UK held talks with First Deputy Federal Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Austria, Wilhelm Sandrisser.

"Cooperation between Russia and Austria in the law enforcement area is one of the most widely developing areas of cooperation," the Russian TASS news agency quoted.

They noted that the successful examples of cooperation were the detention and extradition to Russia of a number of Russians put on the international wanted list, including the alleged leader of the organized criminal group Aslan Gagiyev and the founder of VEFK, Alexander Gitelson, who is accused of embezzling 2.5 billion rubles.

In February 2018, the police of Helsinki and Moscow signed a cooperation agreement.
