The United Nations announced this evening that the Yemeni government's legitimate delegations and the Houthi militias have agreed on a "new mechanism and procedures for re-imposing a ceasefire and non-escalation" around the coastal city of Hodeidah, as well as the technical aspects of troop withdrawal.

In a statement, the organization said a ship had collected representatives of the two sides from different places, holding talks in the Red Sea off Yemen, in the first meeting of its kind since February.
