Putin stressed that relations between Russia and Venezuela are built on the basis of partnership, and political, trade, energy, and scientific and technical ties are actively developing between the countries.
At the same time, according to the President of Russia, Moscow consistently supports the legitimate authorities of the country and provides assistance in solving complex problems.
Earlier, during a press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in Rome, Putin noted that Russia for a variety of reasons is not indifferent to how events in Venezuela will develop.
He also expressed the hope that during the dialogue between the authorities and the opposition, solutions acceptable to both sides would be found.
