A makeshift boat from Libya sank Monday, July 1, off Tunisia with 86 migrants on board. Eighty-two people remain missing.

The inflatable boat left Monday morning from the Libyan town of Zouara, about 120 kilometers west of Tripoli. On board, 86 migrants who dreamed of winning Europe. According to the account of a survivor collected by the International Organization of Migration and reported by AFP, the boat was leaked and, under the effect of a crowd movement, overturned a few hours after its departure.

Four survivors were rescued Wednesday by the Tunisian Coast Guard after being spotted by fishermen, said Dr. Mongi Slim, chairman of the Tunisian Red Crescent regional committee for the governorate of Medina. According to him, two of these survivors, Malians, were taken care of by the Red Crescent and transferred to the Zazis migrant home.

The other two were hospitalized. One, Malian also, is currently in intensive care. The other, Ivorian, died on Thursday, says Dr. Slim. The chances of finding survivors of this shipwreck are now very slim, because, he explains, " the human body can not stand a long time in contact with the cold water of the sea ".
