“From my point of view, these are commercial negotiations, and commercial negotiations should take place between representatives of companies ... We are ready for honest, open negotiations,” a representative of the Ukrainian company told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the next stage of negotiations can take place after the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.

Earlier, the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, stated that, according to EU legislation, Ukraine will not be able to sign a new contract on the transit of Russian gas before the expiration of the current contract.

However, he allowed the extension of existing agreements.

Subsequently, the head of Naftogaz, Yuri Vitrenko, doubted that Gazprom was ready to supply gas at a lower price.
