The Egyptian State Security Prosecution decided to imprison journalist Aya Ala Hosni for 15 days on case 640 for 2018, after being forcibly hidden for 12 days on charges of communicating with news channels amid a campaign of solidarity and compassion for her and her family.

"My wife, journalist Aya Ala Hosni, appeared in the State Security Prosecution on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in case of case No. 640 of 2018, accusing her of communicating with news channels because of my case during my arrest at Al-Scorp prison, .

He added: Aya appeared well and safety after the disappearance of 12 days since the arrest while going to perform a condolence to the family of the late President Mohammed Morsi in the city of Sheikh Zayed and was sentenced to 15 days in prison. They are in high spirits thanks to God.

The arrest of the journalist has aroused widespread humanitarian sympathy for social networking sites in Egypt, and in solidarity with her two children, Homs and Haya.

Activists and journalists traded pictures of the two children waiting for their parents to visit the Scorpio prison in 2015 and then wait for their mother's vision in 2019 before the State Security Prosecution at the 5th assembly.

In a related context, prominent trade unionist Karm Yahya launched a campaign to collect signatures of solidarity with the couple journalists, signed by many colleagues of the profession to be submitted later to the Council of the Bar.

The memo pointed out that there are a number of backgrounds that were called for the detention and accusation of a verse related to the media talking about the detention of her husband in a three-year reserve in violation of the law, noting that the husband is a member of the General Assembly of the Journalists Syndicate has been under precautionary measures for about a year and a half.

The solidarity journalists added in the memo that Hassan and Aya have two children who need the care of the mother and father are Haya and Humas (6 and 8 years).

The memorandum called for providing all forms of solidarity, support and care for this family in its various forms legally, financially and media, and in the forefront to work towards the speedy release of this imprisoned mother.
